A Message from Our President
I am Linda Mollino, the current president of the Hospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare. As a registered nurse and nurse-educator, I have worked in many settings, throughout my nursing career. The hospice experiences that I have experienced in many different settings are the experiences that I have kept close to my heart. It made sense to me that joining the Hospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare (JHC) allows me to come full circle and continue to support hospice through being part of the Foundation.
I think a community is truly complete when it has a well-functioning and caring hospice program to support its members. The Hospice Foundation Board works closely with Hospice of Jefferson Healthcare to build and sustain these services. Our Hospice Foundation takes an approach to funding this care that starts by deeply valuing the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of each patient. The Foundation also aims to educate our community about end-of-life choices and the importance of our Hospice Program.
For us, as with so many groups, 2024 will be a year of continuing transformation. We have been flexible and inventive during the first painful years of the Covid pandemic. We are deeply thankful to our donors, volunteers, and friends who have contributed in multiple ways. I am honored to contribute to the incredible work done by the foundation over the years.
Hospice Foundation for Jefferson Healthcare is an independent 501(c) (3) charitable organization that is dedicated to raising the funds necessary to augment private insurances, Medicare and the uninsured to help support the terminally ill patients and their families. The Foundation is run entirely by a team of caring volunteers, and friends who raise funds and build community awareness.
