Jill Newsome, RN, BSN
Jill Newsome, RN, BSN, has been an RN for almost 30 years and has been with HHH&PC (home health, hospice & palliative care) for almost 3 years. She is the Community Liaison for HHH&PC and speaks regularly in the community advocating death positive conversations in our families and community. Additionally, Jill is the Hospice Ancillary Services manager and oversees thirty volunteers, six comfort therapists and 2 chaplains. Jill has been a part of the Jefferson County community for 25 years and is passionate about those who live and work here.
David L. Hunsley, RN BSN MS
David L. Hunsley, RN BSN MS, is currently serving as Director of Home Health, Hospice, and Palliative Care for Jefferson Healthcare. David’s seventeen-year career in nursing has focused on geriatric medicine and home-based care. He was an educator and database administrator, prior to finding his true calling as a nurse. Having started his nursing career in the emergency department, David moved on to home infusion for six years with Optioncare in Seattle, as a case manager and supervisor. After that, David began work for Gentiva in Seattle and Kent, WA, as a clinical manager and then as hospice director for several years. It was in this role that David developed a passion for geriatric medicine. He then spent several years as a marketing director for Envision Home Health and Hospice, before taking a role as Director of Clinical Services for Wesley Homes in South King County, WA for two and a half years. David was subsequently asked to manage the Queen’s University Medical Group’s Geriatrics Program in Honolulu, which was his most recent role before joining the Jefferson Healthcare Team. Currently, David is working with his excellent team at Jefferson Healthcare to manage, develop, and expand home-based services to residents of Jefferson County.
